How to Save Public TikTok, X and Instagram Reels Videos with FlipSave

FlipSave is a browser tool that checks publicly available TikTok, X and Instagram Reels post URLs and presents video options that can be delivered to your device. This guide explains the full workflow, what is and is not supported, how quality choices work, and what to check when a request fails.

1. Check the post before saving

FlipSave is for videos that are publicly viewable without special access. Private accounts, deleted posts, login-only or additional-authentication content, region-restricted media, and DRM-protected video are not supported.

Only save media you created, media you have permission to use, or media you are otherwise legally allowed to save. A public post is not automatically permission to redistribute or republish it.

2. Copy the post URL and choose a quality

Open the public TikTok, X and Instagram Reels post, copy its link from the share menu, paste it into FlipSave, and select Download. When video data is available, FlipSave shows the individual video items and the qualities that can be retrieved.

Higher resolutions generally use more storage and data. A lower option can be useful on mobile data, while a higher option may be preferable for editing or viewing on a large screen.

3. What FlipSave does with the request

FlipSave reads public post information and returns a path to available media from the source delivery network. It does not build a permanent copy of the video file on FlipSave servers and redistribute that copy as its own library.

For operations and troubleshooting, FlipSave retains the post ID, author, source URL, selected quality, processing time, and result status for 90 days. The privacy policy explains these records in more detail.

4. Using FlipSave on mobile and desktop

FlipSave works in current browsers on iPhone, Android, and desktop. The final file location depends on your browser and device and may appear in the browser download list or the device's file manager.

If clipboard access is denied, paste directly into the URL field using the browser or operating system paste command.

5. Basic checks when retrieval fails

Confirm that the URL points to a public TikTok video post or an X status containing video. Profile pages, search pages, unsupported post types, and invalid short-link redirects cannot produce a video result.

If the post is public and the URL is correct, a temporary platform delivery change may be responsible. Try again later and use the troubleshooting page if the same request continues to fail.

6. Responsible use after saving

Permission to save does not automatically grant permission to republish, edit, sell, or distribute a video. Copyright, privacy, personality rights, platform terms, and local law can still apply.

Rights holders can use the contact form to report a specific URL and explain their rights relationship so the request can be reviewed.

How to save Instagram Reels: supported links and troubleshooting

You can save public Instagram Reels when FlipSave can load the video file directly. Supported paths are instagram.com/reel/POST_ID/ and instagram.com/USERNAME/reel/POST_ID/. Profiles, photo posts, Stories and live streams are excluded. A public post is not a guarantee of retrieval.

Paste the link into FlipSave and select Download. If the paste button fails, paste manually using the keyboard or touch menu. No Instagram password or login is required.
