Recognizing supported URLs

For TikTok, FlipSave checks post URLs in the form tiktok.com/@username/video/number and shared vm.tiktok.com or vt.tiktok.com links. A short link must resolve to a public video post.

For X, supported forms include x.com/username/status/number, twitter.com/username/status/number, and public mobile.twitter.com post URLs. Profiles, search pages, notifications, and live pages are not post URLs.

You can save public Instagram Reels when FlipSave can load the video file directly. Supported paths are instagram.com/reel/POST_ID/ and instagram.com/USERNAME/reel/POST_ID/. Profiles, photo posts, Stories and live streams are excluded. A public post is not a guarantee of retrieval.

Quality and file size

Quality buttons reflect the resolutions or bitrates available in the source platform's delivery data. The highest quality originally uploaded is not always exposed to browsers.

Higher-resolution files usually require more storage and data. A lower option may suit phone storage or quick sharing, while a higher option may suit editing or larger displays.

What to check when retrieval fails

Open the post while signed out, confirm that it contains video, and remove any extra characters around the URL. Private, deleted, age-gated, region-restricted, or DRM-protected media cannot be retrieved.

A public post may also fail temporarily when TikTok, X and Instagram Reels changes its delivery behavior. Copy the standard post URL again and retry later to separate a link-specific problem from a temporary platform change.

Data and permission

FlipSave does not permanently store video files. For operations, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention, it retains details such as the post ID, source URL, selected quality, processing time, and outcome for 90 days.

A public post is not automatically free to redistribute. Save only your own media, media you have permission to use, or media whose use is otherwise allowed by applicable law.
